Boker Kalashnikov

The Kalashnikov is a top-tier budget automatic knife that won’t back down from any EDC task. They feature a strong spring that allows for quick and easy deployment of the blade.

Whether you call them automatic knives, switchblades, OTF knives, or even Italian Stilettos, this category of knife is always expanding. No matter what you call them, automatic knives have been making moms nervous since 1958 when Congress passed the Federal Switchblade Act, which has restricted these types of knives in some areas. As you consider getting your own automatic knife, make sure to check your local laws to see if carrying a switchblade is legal in your area.

We have a number of Kalashnikovs in our collection. It all started with the black body and yellow blade followed by the lime green body and black blade version. There are almost unlimited colors of scales and blades as well as an extensive number of blade shapes such as the clip point, drop point, sheeps foot, tanto, dagger, hawkbill, spear point and wharncliffe. They also come in 3 sizes, the standard, mini and XXL. The best place I’ve found to pick these knives up is either BladeHQ or GrindWorx.

There have also been a number of limited edition Kalashnikovs. My favorite so far has been the dessert warrior knives. I picked up three: the XXL with the dagger blade, the regular with the clip point blade and the mini with the tanto blade.

There is also another limited edition that I picked up for my son. The Wiener Warrior Kalashnikov! Get a hit of American nostalgia with the Wiener Warrior.

The Boker Kalashnikov is a great low cost knife that’s fun to collect! I’m sure more will make their way into our collection in the future.
